ErgOptim participation at the Urbaccess Fair on February 13 and 14, 2013
URBACCESS, the European Fair for Accessibility and Universal Design, took place in Paris on February 13 and 14, 2013.
Several conferences were scheduled on the occasion in order to discuss and exchange on topics related to issues of accessibility and universal design in the field of hospitality, digital, town planning and others.
The "Transport and Accessibility" subject was discussed on February 14, during the conference moderated by Céline Grange-Faivre, PhD and Project Manager of ErgOptim, LIER's specific departement for ergonomics in transportation.
Beyond issues of physical accessibility, (access to train stations, to trains, to buses ...) arises, in fact, the question of access for all, to all modes of transport, from the place of residence to the final destination.
Accessibility implies cross-disciplinary collaborations to meet the requirement of "transport chain", which was underlined by the diversity of actors attending the conference; the video of this conference is now available online.
